packet sniffer is installed and running in your menu bar (the magnifying glass).

Choose Open packet sniffer from that icon, or go to http://127.0.0.1:8070/. Pick a port and switch on Listen. To send nothing on a wired port, switch on Silent in its settings (the cog).

If the menu says capturing isn't allowed yet, log out and back in once.
